Maybe Donald Trump has the answer to this problem. A wall, perhaps?

IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot said today that the problem of Arabs illegally crossing into Israel has reached epic proportions.

During a session of the Knesset State Committee today, Eisenkot averred that between 50 and 60,000 illegals enter Israel each day.

Eisenkot said that the IDF is taking action to address this crisis, but he added that is a distance of 100 kilometers on Israel’s border that still does not have a security fence, leaving a gap for aliens to enter through.

These gaps are in the Battir area and Gush Etzion.

Eisenkot said that Israel must aim to form a balance between the needs of the economy and the Palestinians and security requirements.

Eisenkot also called for those who employ illegal aliens, and those who provide them with lodging and transportation, to be penalized severely in an effort to curb this problem.

  1. Mr. Trump actually pointed to Israel’s wall as an example of how building a wall is effective in keeping out illegals (especially on Israel’s southern border).

Israel would have completed the rest of the wall long ago, were it not for the international community’s protests over every mile that was built.

Though Israel regards itself as a sovereign state, unfortunately, it still feels the need to gauge its actions by the dictates of foreign powers.
