El Al has announced the launch of a new app that will link passengers who are heading to similar locations to help people coordinate carpools.
El Al says the app will tackle the most most common complaint shared by travelers – the cost from airports to hotels or cities, with prices that can add a few hundred dollars to trips.
With the new app, passengers are asked to enter their airport and date of arrival, along with an email and phone number, all of which are not transferred to other users. Instead, an invitation link is sent to the phone which puts the passenger on a chat room of similar passengers with whom carpools can be arranged.
El Al, which is the first airline to offer these service, says their app is not limited to their airline and all travelers are welcome to download the app.

What is the name of the app
Ive been saying for years they should do this
I think rabbi klatzko tried to do it with shabbat.com but you need the scale of airlines to make it work.
