Elon Musk shared that he was once highly admired by progressives until he decided to back President Trump, describing the reaction from the left as a form of hysteria. He compared their intense animosity towards Trump to rabies.
In a joint interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Musk discussed his estrangement from the left, expressing frustration with how they seem unable to have “a normal conversation.”
“There’s this whole sort of, you know … they call it like Trump Derangement Syndrome. You don’t realize how real this is until, like — it’s like you can’t reason with people,” he remarked.
Musk also reminisced about a calm birthday dinner he attended in Los Angeles, just a month or two before the election, where everything was peaceful until he mentioned Trump.
“It was like they got shot with a dart in the jugular that contained, like, methamphetamine and rabies,” he quipped.
“Like, guys? You can’t have, like, a normal conversation,” he added. “It’s like they become completely irrational.”
