Emanuel May Testify About Police Code in Chicago

Attorneys representing Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel have reportedly told a federal judge that they would be willing to admit that a code of silence exists in the Chicago police department, just to keep Emanuel from having to testify in the case of two whistleblower cops suing the city.

US district judge Gary Feinerman has indicated that he’d like Emanuel to testify anyway in order to fully explain the situation. The lawsuit was brought by two officers who said that their department took action against them for working with the FBI on an investigation into a narcotics group that was seeking protection money from drug dealers. Read more at The Guardian.

  1. What a silly suggestion. The Democrats are above the law and don’t have to answer to anyone. Its only those evil white racist Republicans that MUST answer to every inquiry of the media. You should know better.
