On Thursday, Matzav.com reported on the fire in Phoenix, Arizona that claimed the lives of R’ Shimone Boyer z”l and his sons, Nachman z”l, 8, and Dov Ber z”l, 7.

Firefighters found the townhome full of smoke with flames coming from the windows after arriving at the scene near 35th and Northern Avenues at 11 p.m. R’ Shimon and four of his children – three sons and one daughter – were found by firefighters after they extinguished the flames.

While fire rescue was able to resuscitate the two older children, Tamar, 11, and Shevach 9, both were in extremely critical condition and were placed on life support at the hospital while the doctors did everything they could to save their lives.

Now, we are pained to report that first Tamar and then Shevach breathed their last as their uncle Steve Boyer held their hands in the pediatric ICU.

The levayah is being held today at Beth Israel Cemetery.

Umacha Hashem dimah me’al kol ponim.

  2. My heart bleeds every time I hear another yid (and worse children dying because their parents do not take the precautions to get proper smoke detectors) smoke detector save lives check yours today!!!!
The next step would be to go to saferescape.com is there a retractable fire escape ladder gets you out of your house fast.

    • Hello Aaron Mezei, owner of saferescape.com.

There is nothing lower, then using a tragedy to scare people into buying your product.

    • Before you try to profit off other yidden’s tzoros, at least have the decency to disclose that you and your father own saferescape.com

  3. Some (or possibly all) of those children were special needs. I also have special needs children and these types of children can range anywhere between higher functioning and lower functioning. Even with a working smoke detector the children may or may not have had the ability or capacity to understand what to do or how to safely escape in a fire. Please do not judge this father. my heart is broken.
