Those who have set the country of Israel on fire will be tracked down and charged, Israeli Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan told reporters in Haifa today.
“This includes arsonists who set fires deliberately or incite others to do so.
Erdan confirmed that a few people have been apprehended.
He referred to the current crisis as “a new trend,” with fears of copy-cat fires and the like.
Police are carefully examining social media to find those who are inciting acts of arson, said Erdan, who added that every single blaze is being investigated.
“Those behind these acts will be brought to justice,” he said.
