Israeli Border Police apprehended a man today after his behavior aroused suspicion on Rechov Haneviim, as he made his way to Shaar Shechem.
The man was caught with a large knife, almost a foot long.
The suspect, a 25 year old, did not have papers to enter Israel and was interrogated.
Preliminary examinations revealed that he came to Yerushalayim in order to carry out a terror attack and had brought the knife for this purpose.
The chief of police praised the police officers for their vigilance and identifying this potential terrorist, thwarting an attack.
