The European Union said, Monday evening, “The escalation of violence in and around Gaza during the last hours is very alarming.”

A statement by Spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic said, “The indiscriminate firing of rockets or other actions targeting civilians is unacceptable and must stop. The EU urges both parties to step back from the brink and avoid any further actions that would contribute to the escalation, put civilians’ lives at risk, and jeopardise recent efforts towards reducing tensions.” It concluded, “All violent actions have to stop immediately.”

  1. What you’re missing Reb Izzy, is sentence two of paragraph two: “The EU urges BOTH parties to step back….”, i.e., “Israel. don’t even think of defending yourself or your civilian population..”, and the seifa of this sickeningly predictable statement: “ALL violent actions have to stop immediately.” This is the same old same old…The UN dear Izzy, is not complaining about rockets from Gaza into Israel….it is complaining about the reaction that is sure to come from Medinas Yisroel, at some point.

  2. As the famous war hero, John Kerry, used to say: both sides have to tone down the inflammatory rhetoric. Both sides have to stop the incitement, etc etc….. The anti semitic Obama administration’s equivicating the murderous Palestinian terrorists with the innocent Israeli citizen was so outrageous it was hard to defend. Thank God, Kerry and his group are no longer in power.
