In a statement, the European Union denounced Israeli “plans for more than 4,600 new housing units for settlers in the occupied West Bank, including the legalization of an illegal outpost.”

The plans were announced last week by the Israeli Higher Planning Council of the Civil Administration.

“The European Union’s position on Israeli settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territory is clear and remains unchanged: All settlement activity is illegal under international law,” an EU spokesperson said on Friday.

“It erodes the viability of the two-state solution and the prospects for a lasting peace as reaffirmed by UN Security Council Resolution 2334,” the statement said.

  1. They’re such rabid antisemites. Israel should double it every time the EU criticizes it! That’s the same EU soil where 6,000,000 Jewish souls were brutalized by their barbarians! Hey EU, you don’t like the number 4,600 units, well, we’re going to now approve 9,200 in response to your criticism! And that will double if you dare utter another word!

  2. Yehuda & Shomron, West Bank, belongs to Jews like Tel Aviv and Haifa and should be occupied by Jews. Nothing to do with the newly created people, Palestinians, who should go back to their homeland in Jordan.

  3. Both sides have to tone down the inflammatory rhetoric. Israel must give away more land. Yes, President Obama was the greatest friend Israel ever had. Susan Rice agrees with me.

  4. they should use the real name of the “West Bank” it is called Sumaria and Judah (I think that is how it is spelled) look it up in the Torah. Never has been until now called the ‘”the west bank” It is a good way of erasing history, just give it a new name.
