Jenna Ellis, a senior legal adviser to former President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign, says former Vice President Mike Pence is toast with conservatives because of his support of COVID-19 vaccines.
Pence on Monday lauded the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, an action that allows its marketing in the United States and, officials hope, will spur more people to trust the drug and get inoculated.
“Big news,” he declared, praising “the historic Operation Warp Speed under the Trump-Pence Administration” that gave access to “three safe and effective vaccines in record time.”
Ellis ignored Pence’s praise of the Trump administration’s kick-off of the race for a vaccine to contain the pandemic and cast his remarks in a different light, tweeting that Pence’s celebration of the FDA approval was “basically an endorsement of mandates,” adding the “endorsement” was the reason “no conservative will vote for Pence ever again.”
Pence, who led the White House Coronavirus Task Force during the Trump administration, earlier this month urged young conservatives to get inoculated, Newsweek reported.

A tragedy that conservatism is becoming synonym with caveman-like purblindness in the face of medical and scientific breakthroughs (and some are actually proud of it (!))
11:06, the real tragedy is that an ignoramus, lacking any critical thinking skills and probably possessing an IQ of 75, is daring to call “a caveman” someone with an IQ of 150 and who actually took time to learn the subject-matter like me. Personally, I am very much pro vaccines in general, but this experimental gene therapy is not a vaccine, and likely to have unknown long-term side-effects. There is also a “minor” matter that covid is basically harmless for fit and healthy people under 70. Try turning on your brain once in a while.
So let Pence switch to the Democratic party. He gets the support of a vast electoral machine. And the Democrats get a brain. Only one. But it’s a starting point.
Pence’s celebration of the FDA approval was “basically an endorsement of mandates,
Huh? Help me out with this one. Celebrating FDA approval is basically an endorsement of vaccine mandates?
I’m very pro everyone getting vaccinated but still oppose a vaccine mandate. How is Pence saying anything different?
the answer is he is not and more radical elements are simply making things up to bash him for. If in fact he endorsed mandates he would certainly totally lose support of all but some of the most wealthy republicans
100% agree with anonymous. It is obvious that corona like the measles is going no where without a vaccine. Pence is such a level headed and dare I say ehrliche person. Because he doesn’t drum up a lot of noise like Trump he is dismissed?
Pence is gone since 2017. They haven’t concocted something about Hillary for a long time.
I think that scamdemic support is the least of Pence’s problems. The guy folded like a cheap umbrella when he had options to refuse certification of banana-republic election process.
There is nothing in the Constitution that grants the Vice President any power over election certification. The only thing the Vice President does is be present when the certificates are opened and counted. Only a joint decision by both House and Senate can alter the results. And that is why a Democrat Vice President was not able to do anything to stop Trump from being certified.
1:36, will have to respectfully disagree. This country, in its 200+ year history, never had such a blatant violation of election-laws. (State laws that were legislated by democratic representatives of we the people and that only the state legislature is allowed to change – all for a single purpose: to make elections as transparent and VERIFIABLE as possible.) These election laws were blatantly violated by some bureaucrats and some executive branch officials. The Supreme Cowardly Court of the United States simply refused to consider the matter, and the matter was never abjudicated. Now, I don’t claim to be a constitutional expert, but many experts do state that in such extreme circumstances as the 2020 scam, Pence had a right to refuse the certification until a proper audit or revote, using the laws on books, has been done. At any rate, the worst thing that would have happened is that the Supreme Court would have found that Pence doesn’t have such a right and forced the certification. However, in such a case, the Supreme Court would not be able to justify ignoring to examine the blatant violation of state election-laws but confronting Pence at the same time. By refusing certification, Pence would have very likely forced the Supreme Court to actually look into numerous cases of violation of state election-laws as opposed to ignoring it…. Anyway, Pence chickened out, and the rest is history. That is the reason why conservatives disrespect Pence, and perhaps it’s another example of Trump’s inability to make intelligent HR decisions. DeSantis 2024!
Matzav, where is my reply debunking August 26 11:06pm, which was submitted midday of August 27? If you let the Fauci cult believers refer to the intelligent people as “cavemen”, then allow the other side to reply to the little Faucist. It’s either you have an intelligent conversation by allowing everyone to speak up, or you will become another boring website that no one will visit.
Matzav, my comment DID end up being posted. Thank you for your commitment to an intellectual conversation. Please disregard my complaint posted at 9:22pm.
Ok. np.
Way past your bedtime. Little kids gotta sleep at 1:17 am.
the answer is he is not and more radical elements are simply making things up to bash him for. If in fact he endorsed mandates he would certainly totally lose support of republicans. I will also add that (similar to georgia governor kemp there was nothing Pence could have done, the vice president obviously does not have the power to block the certification of the results that would require a majority of both houses of congress
