FBI Account Tweets Infamous Anti-Semitic Text ‘Protocols of Elders of Zion’

The FBI apologized Thursday after the Twitter account of its Records Vault posted a link to the bureau’s materials on an infamous anti-Semitic text.

Late Wednesday, the account posted a link to the “Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion,” providing no further context and drawing outrage from a number of users.

On Thursday, the account posted an apology, explaining that the tweet was a product of an automated algorithm posting Freedom of Information Act materials on the handle.
