Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Stephen Hahn declined on Sunday to confirm or deny whether President Trump’s claim that 99 percent of COVID-19 cases are “harmless.”

Hahn was asked on CNN’s “State of the Union” to respond to Trump’s remarks at the White House on the 4th of July when he said “99 percent of [cases] are totally harmless.”

The CNN interviewer pressed Hahn: “So you won’t say whether 99 percent of coronavirus cases are ‘completely harmless’ is true or false what the president said at the White House last night?”

“Dana, what I’ll say is that we have data in the White House task force,” Hahn responded. “Those data show us this is a serious problem. People need to take it seriously.”

  1. Thank you President Trump. May G-d protect you & your family and continue His benevolence towards you. WE PRAY FOR YOUR SUCCESS ALL THE TIME.

Not 99% but 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999% of cases. President Trump is saying the truth what most of us have known since coroney baloney began, that coronavirus has nothing to do with health issues and everything to do with the elite corona criminals currently being eradicated from the face of the earth.

  2. ‘Declines to confirm’ means they don’t want to admit that Trump is 100% right. It’s the same FDA that have suppressed the cures for cancer all the years and, like Big Pharma and the CDC, are desperate to release their lethal corona vaccine.

  3. It depends what you mean by harmless. The fatality rate is around .1% (higher earlier on when we didn’t know how to deal with it ) but hospitalization is necessary in about 5% of cases (the number depends on how many cases are in which age groups) so saying 99% are harmless is an exaggeration. In any event it is necessary to be careful because for some people it is dangerous including (in a small number of cases) to fairly young healthy people. So people should be careful it is dangerous sometimes, it’s not a joke but on the other hand it isn’t the black death (which wiped out a third of europe) either.

    • You have in mind the black death (by the way there’s an outbreak in Mongolia) which is dangerous, fast, and gives immunity. This disease is not like that. There are many similar viruses that cause coagulation disorders in Africa, and you don’t want to know how they are “dealt with”.
The fatality rate is not what you compute by dividing numbers, because the epidemic is still ongoing. Would you similarly compute the fatality rate of cancer by dividing dead/diagnosed after three or four months since diagnosis? Unfortunately, this is an incorrect computation of the fatality rate.
