Fed Could Hike Interest Rates 2-3 More Times in 2016

The president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Robert Kaplan, told reporters Tuesday that he will argue in favor of a rate increase in June or July and other subsequent hikes throughout the year—at least two or three times.

The Federal Reserve has kept interest rates between 0.25 and 0.50 percent since increasing them from zero last December. Future rate hikes, according to Kaplan, would depend on the projected long-term health of the economy. Read more.
