A request to block Michigan State University’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate based on natural immunity was denied by a federal judge.
Jeanna Norris, a university employee, sued against the mandate since she already had the virus and recovered. She presented two antibody tests to MSU that showed her previous infection, and said her doctors told her that she did not need the vaccine.
The university’s mandate states that all students and staff, unless they have a medical or religious exemption, must get vaccinated or face termination.
U.S. District Judge Paul Maloney denied Norris’s lawsuit, stating that the school did not violate her rights. Maloney based his opinion on a 1905 Supreme Court case, Jacobson v. Massachusetts, saying that “This Court must apply the law from the Supreme Court: Jacobson essentially applied rational basis review and found that the vaccine mandate was rational in ‘protect[ing] the public health and public safety. The Court cannot ignore this binding precedent.”

Having Covid and testing positive for the antibodies, all scientists agree confers better immunity than the vaccine alone.
That said, probably the reason that most places insist on search people being vaccinated also is because there is no central reliable database in the U.S. certifying who actually has achieved natural immunity and therefore is difficult to control.
Simple solution: Establish that central, reliable database in the US and elsewhere! Make the green pass based on antibody level, not how many times one’s been vaccinated. Some people don’t get antibodies from the vaccine, or the level gets reduced three, six or whatever months after the jab, while others have plenty of antibodies after either severe or mild infection, or asymptomatic infection. But the goal is not to protect people, the goal is to push the vaccine. Why didn’t the medical establishment look for treatments until the vaccine was developed, but just let everyone die? Because they weren’t interesting in a cure, only the —- vaccine.
Note that they didn’t deny she’s right that she is already immune. They simply ruled that her employer wasn’t violating her rights in mandating this.
