A federal monitor appointed to oversee NYPD reforms has common-sense advice for training new recruits: Don’t be jerks.
Peter Zimroth’s training materials for new cops tell them not to imitate speech patterns in a racist way, and not to tell jokes that can be construed as racist-like, “He’s Irish but I’ve never seen him drunk!”
Importantly, the new instructions also say that generic suspect descriptions-like the commonly used “young black male”-do not give cops reasonable suspicion. Read more at The New York Daily News.

So now we are sanitizing the NYPD? Its tough out there on the mean streets of the City. The Police have to use strong terms every now and then. They cant come off looking like sissy’s. If the crooks sense that the cops are scared, they will continue to commit crimes.
Can they still call a male suspect a male?
No they can not. Unless he is white and Jewish or catholic
