American Dream in East Rutherford is finally opening.
The mega retail and entertainment center will open its doors on Friday as part of a multi-phased launch that is expected to continue through March. Even if you weren’t able to snag a ticket to Nickelodeon Universe for opening weekend before tickets sold out, you can still rent a pair of skates and enjoy the mall’s indoor ice rink this weekend.
On Friday, only a fraction of the three-million-square-foot property will open — Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park and American Dream’s ice rink. The rest of the property will be opening in phases, later this year and in 2020.
The theme park has more than 35 rides, roller coasters and attractions. At 8.5 acres, officials say it is the largest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere. The mall, which is owned by the Ghermazian family, will also feature a kosher food court.

Hope its Chasidishe shechita only…..
interesting to note, the stores will be closed on sunday in deference to the Christian religion yet the mall owned by jews will not be closed on Shabbos in deference to Shabbos.
It would help for you to know that all the Ghermazian properties function according to the strictest halachic standards. There are partnership agreements with the non jewish managers for the Shabbos revenue. Before you throw mud, inquire!

How will this affect the traffic in the area? Will the NJ Turnpike (going north) become a nightmare? What about on a Sunday when there is a Giants/Jets game taking place at the same time?
Most shopping by Americans is now done online. Malls are a thing of the past. My question is, when this mall eventually goes belly up, who is going to bail out the greedy investors? Will it once again be the dumb stupid worthless guillibe NJ taxpayers?!
Please let’s. Begin a nice civilians.other people would laugh.lets be friends thanks
