This morning, a fire broke out at Camp Agudah in Ruach Country in Ferndale, NY.
The building hit by the blaze, know affectionately as The Ranch, was empty at the time and is not used for sleeping.
Boruch Hashem, there were no injuries.
There is a lingering smell of smoke throughout the Camp Agudah campus, but Rabbi Shimon Newmark, director of Camp Agudah, tells Matzav.com that it is now dissipating and has not affected the camp’s operations.

Shouldn’t the article say Aguda’s day camp?
Which building was The Ranch? I’m getting a senior moment.
B”H No one was there – חַסְדֵי השם כִּ֣י לֹא־תָ֔מְנוּ כִּ֥י לֹא־כָל֖וּ רַחֲמָֽיו
I’m confused! Wasn’t Camp Agudah supposed to open in a rented facility this year in Maine? Are NY camps all open within the law?
No, it’s takeh terrible. You have a chiyuv to be maaser on them. Call the authorities immediately. If you don’t snitch on them, then you’re a rodef.
Isn’t that attached to the canteen?
