Fire Breaks Out at Camp Chaviva’s Main Building; Boruch Hashem, No Injuries

Camp Chaviva’s main building suffered damage due to a fire outbreak today, but thankfully no one was harmed.

The fire originated this morning from an unidentified source within the building on Ulster Heights Road in Ellenville, which serves as both offices and sleeping quarters.

Although the structure endured significant harm from smoke and water, boruch Hashem there were no injuries.

Following the incident, two firefighters were taken to Ellenville Hospital for observation, with one being transported by Hatzolah and the other by Ellenville Rescue.

Ellenville firefighters promptly responded to the situation and swiftly elevated it to a second alarm, allowing for increased manpower and resources to combat the blaze.

One firefighter received treatment from Hatzolah due to smoke inhalation.

In response to the incident, the administration of Camp Chaviva issued a statement assuring that while fire had broken out in their main building, fortunately everyone has been accounted for and is safe.
