The first American to die of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus that has become a global pandemic, succumbed weeks earlier than initially believed, officials in California said late Tuesday.
The Santa Clara Medical Examiner-Coroner said autopsies on two people who died Feb. 6 and Feb. 17 showed they had been infected by the virus. Samples sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) tested positive on Tuesday.
Until the new revelations, the first COVID-19 death had been identified as a man in his 50s in Washington state who died Feb. 29. Reclassifying these deaths as related to the coronavirus suggests the virus had been spreading through the United States for much longer than was initially thought — potentially for weeks or even months longer.

My friend flew to USA on January 21st, and became seriously ill with all Corona symptoms, but at that time Dr’s had no idea this was Corona, having never heard of of Corona, so were most mystified by this fellow’s illness as he is a seasoned traveler, but now למפרע know that all the way back on January 21st, this fellow had already contracted Corona; B’H he made a full recovery.
Now what exactly was he sick with? Did he have the flu? pneumonia? bronchitis? You know, Corona is a broad term for ALL sickness, including someone being shot in the head and not being able to breath and a skydiver killed in collision with a trailer.
