Sen. Jeff Flake said Wednesday that he supports increasing the minimum age to buy a rifle and is working on legislation with Sen. Dianne Feinstein after last week’s Florida school shooting.

Flake wrote in a tweet that he is “working with [Feinstein] on a bipartisan bill that will raise the minimum purchase age for non-military buyers from 18 to 21 — the same age you currently have to be to purchase a handgun.”

The GOP senator tweeted that a “kid too young [to] buy a handgun should be too young to buy an #AR15.”

  1. It has nothing to do with age. It has to do with liberal Democrats, many of whom are lawless thugs. And by the way, how old are the Clintons that they have a list of over 200 people on their Clinton Body Count?

  2. Age and guns have nothing to do with each other, for look at Chicago, look at all the killings, is there a run down on how old these shooters are and how they get their guns at any age, since Chicago is a gun free city. People will be able to get a gun at any age mostly illegal, so no law in the land will stop that. Even if there was a ban on all guns, guns can be found in many places. Schools and places where people go must be secured and checked not eliminate guns. schools had better coverage and secured it would not have happened, same with the other places that had gun violence, people have to take care and not be negligent for there are always going to be some one, some where that is crazy and with a gun, knife, bomb, etc. can not declare everything illegal.
