Almost 60% of New York City registered voters agree with the idea that their family would have a better future if they left the city permanently, according to a new poll published Wednesday, NBC reports.
The survey from political consultants Fontas Advisors and polling firm Core Decision Analytics adds to a growing body of evidence that New Yorkers are preoccupied with rising crime and public safety, and want something done about it if they’re to stay here.
Asked to agree or disagree with the statement, “My family would have a better future if we left NYC permanently,” some 25% said they strongly agree and another 34% said they somewhat agree.
By demographics, 65% or more all of respondents under age 49 said they agreed to some extent with the sentiment. Just 49% of white respondents concurred, but more than 60% of all Black, Hispanic and Asian voters in the poll agreed.

Being that the Mayor of NYC is a black male, this report is racist. I call on the white Merrick Garland to arrest you.
NYC ganed 629,000 people during the 2010s, making it the fastest growing city in the US. Most of our problems are directly related to that too rapid population growth.
Just when you thought Charlie Hall couldn’t get more stupid
Does your number include fleas and rats?
NYC problems are attributable to poor fiscal management and allowing the inmates to run the asylum. We allow drug cartels less freedom and influence that the flatulence of political clubs which choose the 5 – 7 judges you are allowed to circle on any of the lines on election day. We have emasculated our police force. We have turned our schools into junk social science experiments. The unions, especially the UFT, has never wielded such influence and power. CUNY is a junk pile of never would be. A city of over 7 million growing by half a million of 10 years is not a problem city without the collateral damage.
What does a lax attitude on crime and an anti business attitude by politicians over the last 5 years have to do with too quick of a population growth?
Do not go too fast. According to the Sun Sentinel last week, the NY state had even fewer murders this past year than Ohio and ranked 9th from the top worst.
But we like other states too. The NY is a hard creature if you are not happy.
“but more than 60% of all Black, Hispanic and Asian voters in the poll agreed.”
So, the simplest solution to make everyone feel safe is to strongly encourage and incentivize that demographic to leave.
If 60% of the first two mentioned leave, the third demographic will gladly stay, and work hard to better their lives.
However, upon whose poor head would you wish the Ebonic Plague?
Sorry Charlie,
Despite your flaccid, dribbling defense of NYC and other Democrat run cities, most of the problems are related to their tolerance of crime, glorification of criminals and disdain for common, hard working, tax paying citizens.
NYC is rotten, crime everywhere, criminals are released that day, no more stop and frisk, homeless and deranged everywhere, subway is disgusting and unreliable, high taxes, expensive.
Crime, while being more in your face, are just manifestation and fruits of the internal decline
Deal with it at the source or give up
Its the articulation of the masses acting out after their values left them empty. This process, still ongoing regularly ,voted on by your own politician Askanim
The Mayor dresses very nicely.
