American statesman Henry Kissinger, in a video conversation unknowingly recorded by Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, purportedly attributed the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines to Ukraine. The duo, posing as Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, engaged in a one-hour video conference with Kissinger, which was later released as an episode of their show on social media.
In one clip from the conversation, the pranksters asked Kissinger about his thoughts on the possibility of Moscow being responsible for the destruction of its own undersea energy links with Germany in September of the previous year. Initially hesitant, the former US official finally responded, stating, “I, frankly, have thought it was you,” according to the dubbed translation of the exchange.
The fake Zelensky assured Kissinger that Ukraine was not involved in the sabotage, to which Kissinger expressed that he did not blame Kiev. He emphasized that his remark was not intended as a criticism. The destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines disrupted direct supplies of Russian natural gas to Western Europe. While European states investigating the incident failed to identify the culprit, reports in Western media, based on intelligence leaks, suggested that a “pro-Ukrainian group” or a faction of the Ukrainian military not answerable to Zelensky may have been responsible.
Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, in his reports, alleged that the operation was ordered by US President Joe Biden and conducted jointly by the US and Norway, claims that both nations have denied. Moscow indicated its trust in Hersh’s sources in this particular case.
Vovan and Lexus, whose real names are Vladimir Kuznetsov and Aleksey Stolyarov, are known for their pranks on public figures, impersonating influential individuals and eliciting statements that might not otherwise be intended for public consumption.
It is worth noting that Kissinger had previously drawn criticism from Zelensky when he shared his views on Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. Kissinger had suggested that the status of Crimea and other former Ukrainian territories, claimed by Kiev under its sovereignty, should be open to negotiation. Both Kissinger and Zelensky share Jewish heritage. The American statesman had acknowledged Zelensky’s unique background as an elected head of state in a country where such a candidacy would not typically be expected, but he had also remarked on Zelensky’s perceived lack of clarity and conviction in matters of post-conflict settlement.
Kissinger: Depopulation should be the highest priority of foreign policy towards the third world, because the US economy will require large and increasing amounts of minerals from abroad, especially from less developed countries.
Kissinger agreed that the best way to depopulate the planet is through the use of vaccinations?
