Former US congresswoman Cynthia McKinney on Monday tweeted that “Zionists” were responsible for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks committed by Al-Qaeda that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.
McKinney served six terms in the US House of Representatives from 1993 to 2003 as a member of the Democratic Party from Georgia before leaving the Democrats in 2008 to run for president on the Green Party ticket.
The tweet to her nearly 50,000 followers shows an image of the World Trade Center twin towers aflame on 9/11 after being hit by the airplanes with the picture presented as a jigsaw puzzle. Under the picture reads “the final piece of the puzzle…” with the words “Zionists” on one of the puzzle pieces about to be inserted, forming the words “Zionists did it.”
