Former Likud MK Yehudah Glick was handcuffed and arrested Tuesday morning on Har Habayis, claiming that he had been removed from the compound for “walking too slowly.”

A Israel Police spokesperson, however, said that Glick had been arrested after violating visiting rules at the compound. According to police, following a visit to the Temple Mount with two United States congressmen and their families, Glick returned to the compound via the Mughrabi Gate on an uncoordinated visit and began provoking officers there.

“He [Glick] began to wander around the Har Habayis in violation of visiting rules, with which he is familiar from previous visits. He refused to adhere to police instructions and provoked officers, forcing them to detain him,” police said in a statement. “After he continued to provoke officers they were forced to inform him that he was under arrest. When he still refused to cease his provocations, officers were forced to handcuff him. He was released from his handcuffs inside the compound and taken by police for questioning.”

    • Dear 10:52 Ben Grusha, where did you fall off the couch and bump your head? If Glick is keeping to the halachikaly permitted areas of Har Habais, there is nothing he is doing wrong. In fact, it is amoratzim like you who are in the wrong on so many levels.

        • Dear 8:14pm Am Hooretz, bring real halachik sources(not hearsay and babamaises) to your assertion that all areas of Har Habais have the same status. Otherwise, stop embarrassing yourself by revealing your IQ of 65. In fighting militant amoratzim, it is proper to use all methods, as in the end of 3rd perek of Psachim; so you amoratzishe fools will have to take the name calling. Btw, not sure if you are mixing me up with someone else: I am not single.

  1. Dear 9:42am Cockroach, please name all exact halachik sources (not hearsay and babamaisos) to your amoratzishe statement that the entire Har Habais is prohibited. Apparently, you are blissfully ignorant of different areas on Har Habais, some of which are 100% mutar. Not sure how far Glick went, but not having told otherwise, we have a chiuv to assume that we went up into the halachakly permitted areas.
