Chasdei Hashem ki lo samnu!
In a display of Divine rachamnus and chesed, the Jewish world has been uplifted by the wonderful news that eight-year-old Tzion Maron, who went missing on Wednesday in Flagstaff, Arizona, has been found safe and sound.
The incident began when Tzion was last seen on Wednesday afternoon at the Lava River Cave, a well-known site nestled in the scenic landscape north of Flagstaff, near the intersection of Forest Service Road 171 and Forest Service Road 245.
Around 6 p.m., while exploring the cave with his family, Tzion wandered off in an unknown direction, sparking immediate concern.
As the gravity of the situation became clear, local askanim and chesed organizations sprang into action, swiftly organizing a comprehensive search operation. Word of the missing child spread rapidly, and volunteers from nearby communities, along with those from farther afield, poured into the area to assist. Among them were seasoned search and rescue teams, all determined to locate Tzion in the vast and challenging terrain.
The wider Torah world joined in the efforts, as tens of thousands of Yidden across the globe fervently davened for the safe return of Tzion ben Chayah Rivkah. The outpouring of tefillos was nothing short of extraordinary, with people of all ages and backgrounds uniting in prayer, pleading with the Ribbono Shel Olam to bring this precious child back to his family.
As the search stretched into this morning, the sense of urgency intensified. Every passing hour brought renewed efforts from authorities and volunteers, who left no stone unturned in their mission. The terrain was unforgiving, the emotions raw, yet the resolve of the searchers and the faith of Klal Yisroel remained unwavering.
The Maron family rov arranged for a minyan to go to the kever of the great tzaddik Rav Michoel Forshlager zt”l in Baltimore to daven Mincha and say Tehillim at 1:45 p.m.
Then, shortly after 2 p.m. today, during that tefillah gathering, the news that everyone had been yearning to hear finally came: Tzion was located, having been found by members of Rockland Chaveirim. These heroic volunteers, part of the larger group that had flown to Arizona with the assistance of Hatzolah Air, found Tzion in good condition.
Hatzolah paramedics swiftly examined Tzion, confirming that he was healthy and unharmed.
As word of his discovery spread, a wave of joy swept through Jewish communities around the world. In summer camps across the country, spontaneous singing and dancing erupted as campers and staff alike celebrated the amazing news. The collective sigh of relief and expressions of gratitude were palpable, with Yidden offering heartfelt hoda’ah to Hashem for the chesed He had shown.
