France declassified a report on Saturday laying out evidence that officials said proves that a chemical attack in Syria last week was carried out by the government of President Bashar Assad.
The report claims that several chemical strikes were carried out in the Damascus suburb of Douma on April 7, and that symptoms experienced by the victims — skin burns, suffocation and other breathing difficulties, among other markers — were consistent with the effects of chlorine gas.
“Reliable intelligence indicates that Syrian military officials have coordinated what appears to be the use of chemical weapons containing chlorine on Douma, on April 7,” the report, released by the French Foreign Ministry, reads.

Why believe France if two doctors in Syrian hospital claimed that although several civilians were injured in the airstrike, no symptoms of chemical weapons were used.
And the US Defense Secretary Mattis also claimed there was no evidence of chemical attack.
Let’s see: French analysis using open source documented data of chemical attack, or two Syrian doctors with Assad’s gun to their head denying it. I think I’ll go with the French.
Secretary Mattis actually said the opposite: He said the DoD has solid evidence, but can’t release the details because of classification. I have seen the classified evidence, and it’s incontrovertible.
So, keep on smoking what you’re smoking, but get help for your Trump Derangement Syndrome.
