French Soldier Stabbed in Paris

Just days after a British soldier was beheaded on a London street in broad daylight, a French soldier was stabbed in the throat in Paris’s busy La Defense shopping district.

Police are on the hunt for a suspect they believe to be from North Africa and while President Francois Hollande said there will be an investigation into whether Saturday’s non-fatal attack was at all connected to this week’s brutal murder of a British soldier, he also warned against jumping to conclusions.

“There could be a link, but we will look at all the elements,” Hollande said. Read more at The Independent.
