A fundraising effort organized by the family of Yarden Bibas, a recently released hostage, has exceeded its target of $1,371,086 within just one day of being launched, now surpassing $1.6 million.
The goal of the campaign is to provide support for Bibas’s recovery and to honor the memory of his wife Shiri and their young children, Kfir and Ariel. The family was abducted during the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, and tragically lost their lives while in captivity.
The donations, gathered through the Lehosheet Yad (Lend a Hand) foundation, will help fund “professional support, mental health assistance and financial resources to gradually regain a sense of normalcy,” as outlined by Yarden’s father, Eli, on the campaign’s English-language page.

While no amount of money in the world can compensate Yarden for the horror and heartbreak, I hope he gets some comfort from seeing the number of people who care about him and the horrific loss of his wife and children, HY”D. May he know no more tzar.
