Authorities in the central Gaza city of Deir al Balah on Monday afternoon claimed that Israel was responsible for shutting off electricity to two desalination plants.
City officials stated that these facilities produce the majority of Deir al Balah’s drinking water, supplying more than 20,000 cubic meters of desalinated water—roughly 70% of the city’s total water consumption.
Israel, however, rejected these claims, asserting that the issue at the plants was due to a localized technical fault rather than an intentional power cut. Israeli sources maintained that the electricity supply had not been disrupted.
During a Religious Zionist party gathering earlier that day, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich addressed the ongoing situation, saying that after stopping the flow of humanitarian assistance to Gaza and Hamas, “the next step will be cutting the water and electricity, and opening the gates of hell on Gaza with a powerful, deadly, and quick strike that will lead to the conquest of the area and moving forward with [US President Donald] Trump’s plan of encouraging emigration of Gaza’s residents.”
A day earlier, on Sunday, Israeli leadership made the decision to suspend humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza. The move came in response to Hamas’ refusal to extend the initial stage of the ceasefire agreement, which had involved an exchange of convicted terrorists for hostages, the majority of whom were civilians abducted during the October 7 massacre.

GOOD! Drink SALT…
what did they think would happen if they behave like pere adam?
Hamas in Gaza CUT THE LIVES of many hostages – worse than cutting water
Shut off everything! Why are they helping an enemy?!
Yes, Gazans, Israel did cut those lines and you cut lives. They should give you back the electric lines though! That I think is appropriate: it’s a much cleaner death when it’s death by electrocution than by bomb or bullets.
Without Biden tying Israels hands and with the EU and UNWRA discredited as well, Israel should cut off all electricity, water and aid. Had they withstood the pressure early on, the war would be over. Abbas promised Trump no pay for slay, but he has since made it clear he was lying , as usual.
Wait didn’t they give the hostages salt water to drink…. I guess now it’s their turn
