An explosive device launched by Arab terrorists operating in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip was found in an Israeli forest Sunday afternoon, a police spokesperson said.
According to Israel Police, the bomb was found in a forest east of the city of Kiryat Gat in southern Israel. Police say the bomb was likely launched by terrorists in the Gaza Strip, who used either a kite or helium balloon to carry the device into Israeli territory.
A police bomb squad was dispatched to the scene to defuse the explosive device.
