Former President George H.W. Bush and his wife could end up “six feet under” if they sit outside for Donald Trump’s inauguration this week, the former president wrote the president-elect in a personal letter, POLITICO reports.

“Barbara and I are so sorry we can’t be there for your Inauguration on January 20th,” the former president wrote in a note dated Jan. 10. “My doctor says if I sit outside in January, it will likely put me six feet under. Same for Barbara. So I guess we’re stuck in Texas.”

Outgoing President Barack Obama and former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter have said they will attend Trump’s swearing-in on Friday.

  1. Hey, before he got ill, he already said he won’t be attending.
He also publicly refused to vote for his party’s candidate.
The elder Bush is just another have-been.

  2. I suppose the mighty USA superpower does not have a gazebo and an outdoor heater for the elderly or frail people who wish to attend the President’s inauguration? Even though this year, a former POTUS is among them with his wife?! I then wonder why the Disabled People Act harasses every tiny business to be “accessible” and whatnot.
