The George Washington Bridge upper deck replacement project continues Monday night, this time on the eastbound lanes.
For the overnight hours during the workweek, three of the span’s four lanes on the upper level will be closed to traffic.
The lanes will be closed Monday through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., and from midnight to 8 a.m. Friday into Shabbos.
There will be no lane closings on Shabbos or Sunday nights. Routine maintenance work will also be ongoing at the bridge, with minimal impacts to the traveling public.
The Port Authority will be replacing 362 joint panels overnight on weeknights for the next five weeks. Read more at CBS NY.
