The Gerrer Rebbe, Rav Yaakov Aryeh Alter, traveled yesterday from Eretz Yisroel to Italy, where he will be spending this Shabbos, Parshas Vayeirah. Tomorrow night, Motzoei Shabbos, the Rebbe will grace a dinner to benefit Mosdos Gur, attended by supporters of the chassidus.
The Rebbe recently completed a shortened trip to the United States. After four days, the Rebbe returned to Eretz Yisroel due to the ill health of the Gerrer Rebbetzin. The Rebbe had been scheduled to travel from the United States to Europe.
This weekend, the Rebbe is completing the second leg of his originally planned trip. The Rebbe is expected to return to Eretz Yisroel on Sunday.
