Gasps and hysterical sobs came from the classrooms of a high school in Petach Tikva last week, when it was announced that their principal, Mrs. Devorah Broiner, had passed away at the age of 45.

Broiner was the beloved principal of the high school, and was known for her devotion to her job and her dedication to students both past and present. The students had been praying for her recovery since she was admitted to the hospital with breathing problems, despite having had no previous health conditions.

The girls were hysterical at the loss, but none were more devastated than Broiner’s 8 children, the youngest of whom is only 6 years old. Classes were temporarily suspended as the girls struggled to cope with the shock.

After a year of fighting this virus, many are exhausted and ready for life to return to ‘normal.’ For the Broiner children and their father, however, life will never be normal again. Principal Broiner gave many years to her work as an educator, with the intent of improving the lives of her students, but also with the intent of keeping her own household afloat. Donations are being collected on the childrens’ behalf to help them survive now that she has been ripped away so suddenly.
