Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani took to Twitter to slam De Blasio for the police officers who were doused with buckets of water in Harlem yesterday.
“This disrespect for the uniform in NYC is result of a Democrat-Progressive (Retrogressive)-Socialist Mayor. This is what happens with knee-jerk disrespect for police. It will only get worse until these Left wing idiots are defeated.”
The NYPD has said they are looking into the incident.

Lawlessness has made a comeback under de Blasio. His ultra liberal policies have turned the city back to the bad old pre-Giuliani era in some respects.
One example – illegal fireworks, around July 4 and January 1, are getting worse and worse in recent years. The great progress made under Giuliani and continued under Bloomberg in almost eliminating that dangerous scourge has been reversed under de Blasio, under whom cops look away and ignore such egregious quality of life offenses.
Maybe the squeegee guys will return soon.
They should have been arrested, and charged for assaulting a police person.
In all honesty, what was Mayor DeBlasio supposed to do? He wasn’t there. He couldn’t intervene. The problem is, these 2 cowards shouldn’t of been hired to begin with. Not every one is cut out to be a police officer. Was this a case of affirmative action? I don’t know what their Union hiring practices are.
That is the nature of “leadership”. If he can’t get things done by leading, he shouldn’t be a leader. You think that JFK built the instruments to land a human on the moon? What he did was “lead” and that is how it ended up that the U.S> was the first to land a human on the moon.
