Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will advise President-elect Donald Trump on cybersecurity issues from his position in the private sector, the transition team announced today, the Daily Beast reports.

Trump will also occasionally meet with corporate executives whose companies have been affected by issues such as “hacking, intrusions, disruptions, manipulations, theft of data and identities, and securing information technology infrastructure.” In the press release, the president-elect’s team called hacking a “major threat to our national security.” Giuliani serves as an executive at Greenberg Traurig and Giuliani Partners, and was considered to be a leading candidate for secretary of State before he withdrew from consideration.
