I wanted to make a seudas preida for 2020, but they told me I can’t do it because the attendees would not be able to adhere properly to social distancing guidelines, and it would be difficult for everyone to eat the food with the masks on. I contemplated making an outdoor seudah with cold-cuts, non-dairy ice cream and ice tea, instead of soup and hotcakes – due to the cold weather, which doesn’t go well with hot food. But they told me if I make the seuda outside, I would be considered an outsider, and I would have to quarantine. So I gave up on the idea.
