After months of speculation whether former Gov. Andrew Cuomo would make another run for his old job — less than a year after resigning in disgrace when faced with allegations of sexual harassment and wrongdoing — the deadline came and went with no paperwork filed by Cuomo, NBC reports.

The first deadline to get the Cuomo name back in the race of Democrats passed in April, but that wasn’t the long-time politician’s only shot back in the political arena. Tuesday marked his last chance to run for governor of New York by filing petitions to run as a third-party candidate. But Cuomo, who previously said he was open to running for governor this year despite the scandal, appears to have opted against mounting an independent run for his old job — at least for now. Tuesday at 5 p.m. was the deadline for candidates to collect 45,000 voter signatures if they wanted to appear as an independent candidate for governor on the November general election ballot.

  1. The bum will get the Democrats to change the dates, as he’s done and they will, as they’ve done! Remember Bloomberg?

  2. Why goodbye? Are you sure this won’t came back to bite us? Is he really done? And even if yes, denigrating a person never serves any purpose other than self gratification.

  3. This evil Antiochus fought G-d during Covid, shutting down our shuls and schools.

One of the more memorable and ignoble episodes was when he promised Agudah to allow 50% of capacity (which is itself a chutzpah, to interfere at all, but at least “understandable”) and then immediately turned around and made a blanket rule of max 10 worshipers regardless of the size of the Shul.
