FOX5NY reports that Google Express, Google’s answer to Amazon Prime, hit the East Coast Wednesday with a same-day delivery service that lets you order from major retailers like Costco, Kohl’s, Whole Foods, and PetSmart.

Close to 70 million people in more than a dozen states, including the tristate area, can order from their smartphones.  You pay either a per-order fee or an annual fee. Google Express charges subscribers $95 a year whereas Amazon Prime is $99.

“Depending on the item, some will take a little longer, but you can click ‘get this today,'” says online shopping expert Michelle Madhok, who notes that Amazon has a much bigger selection of items, so if you can wait two days to get it, that’s probably the better option but if there is something you absolutely need right away, Google might be a better option.

  1. Google Express is offering a $15 credit plus free shipping with code BK27YP34N. I find prices are the same in store so save time and gas and have them deliver same or next day!
