Google has announced that it will launch Street View in Israel this Sunday, April 22. For the first time, photos of the streets of Yerushalayim, Tel Aviv, Haifa and other locations in Eretz Yisroel, including the Yam Hamelach, the Kinneret and Mitzpe Ramon will be seen as they were photographed by Google’s special vehicles.
The offical launch ceremony will take place in Tel Aviv with the participation of Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai, Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav, and Meir Brand, the managing director of Google Israel, Africa and Greece.
Google embarked on the project of photographing the streets of Eretz Yisroel about eight months ago, in September 2011.
