Now that thesis is really never getting done. As part of the federal government shutdown, both the Library of Congress and the National Archives were closed down today and will remain closed until further notice.
The websites of both institutions have been shut down as well, and their social media sites have stopped updating.
All public events are cancelled until the end of the shutdown.
The National Endowment for the Arts website is operational, and you can search for old material, but it will not be updated or monitored. Read more at The Library of Congress.

What is the point of closing down the website, doesnt a website once up operate on its own?
Nope. That’s why you have webmasters. somebody has to operate the servers as well.
By the way, the website of the National Endowment for the Arts is also offline, with the same basic notice as the LOC.
GOOD!
