In a dramatic turn for Israel’s political landscape, the cabinet has unanimously agreed to dismiss Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, according to a statement released by Justice Minister Yariv Levin.

Tensions between Baharav-Miara and the current administration have simmered since the government’s formation, with officials accusing her of consistently obstructing its policies, nominations, and legislative agenda—not due to legal grounds, they say, but because of political bias.

Despite the cabinet’s decision, the High Court of Justice has determined that Baharav-Miara’s removal cannot be enforced until the court delivers a ruling on whether the dismissal procedure was legally sound—a process both the attorney general and several oversight organizations have already labeled illegitimate.

  1. The BaGatz has nothing to do with this. The government elected by the people have installed her as the AG and that same government elected by the people have removed her. The stupid court should go wash toilets instead.

    • Go tell this to the self elected BaGatz who are above the law and the most powerful entity in the country. Nothing will change until the government will finally take care of the long promised judicial reform changes; wishful thinking with this pathetic government.

    • These unelected dictators, as Leah above said are the most powerful entity in the country. As long as they have all the power, she best off going to them.

  2. If Bagatz blocks a single aspect of this, or even delays it,fire them all with her!
Even if they astutely sidestep this, fire about half

  3. Despite the cabinet’s decision, the High Court of Justice..
In short we can keep concocting anything to give any political screen to force the cabinet to quit

Worse than Brussels & The Hague.
