rav-meir-tzvi-bergmanSeveral weeks ago, a grandson of Rav Meir Tzvi Bergman, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Rashbi and son-in-law of Rav Elazar Shach zt”l, was taken to the hospital in the middle of his own wedding. The chosson, a talmid of the Tifrach Yeshiva, married a daughter of Rav Tzvi Katzburg at the Heichal Malchus Hall.

During the course of the wedding, the chosson‘s wristwatch broke and apparently the metal band punctured his flesh, cutting it deeply. Hatzolah bandaged the chosson‘s hand and the wedding continued. According to a report in Yated Ne’eman, A while later, the chosson began to bleed profusely and the bandage became saturated with blood. His grandfather, Rav Meir Tzvi, ruled that he should be taken immediately to the Maayanei Hayeshua Hospital. Rav Meir Tzvi asked that the dancing continue. The chosson spent a couple of hours in the hospital and returned to the wedding well after midnight. When he returned, the crowd erupted in spirited singing and dancing which lasted until after 2 a.m.

  1. Thanks for this riveting news story. I am sure Rav meir Tzvi-a quiet, humble personality-is thrilled that this info is being shared on the internet.
We are like the goyim who need constant news about celebrities.
The dumbing down of Klal Yisroel.

  2. I like to know what is going on, so I read Matzav. I am just disappointed by some of the foolishness. And this story is foolish.
