“The FBI source who provided information on President Biden’s alleged involvement in a bribery scheme stated that the Ukrainian businessman accused of paying off the former vice president claims to possess 15 audio recordings of Hunter Biden and two of Joe Biden,” revealed a Republican senator on Monday.
Chuck Grassley, a Republican senator from Iowa, made this astonishing revelation during a speech on the Senate floor. He disclosed that FBI Director Christopher Wray had recently allowed members of the House Oversight Committee to view a redacted informant file related to the allegations of Hunter and Joe Biden receiving $5 million each to serve the interests of Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma Holdings.
Grassley criticized the bureau for unnecessarily redacting information about the audio recordings from the file shared with House lawmakers, stating, “Congress still doesn’t have a complete understanding of what the document truly contains. That’s why it is crucial for the document to be made public without unnecessary redactions so that the American people can see it.”
To provide more transparency, Grassley proceeded to clarify the contents of the redacted reference in the document: “The 1023 form presented to the House Committee redacted information stating that the foreign individual who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden possesses audio recordings of his conversations with them. There are a total of seventeen recordings. According to the 1023, the foreign individual has fifteen audio recordings of phone calls between him and Hunter Biden. Additionally, the 1023 indicates that the foreign individual has two audio recordings of phone calls between him and then-Vice President Joe Biden. These recordings were allegedly kept as a form of insurance for the foreign individual in case he found himself in a difficult situation. The 1023 also suggests that then-Vice President Joe Biden may have been involved in Burisma’s decision to employ Hunter Biden.”
The senator concluded his speech by demanding to know what actions the Justice Department and FBI have taken to investigate these allegations, highlighting the apparent disparity in the treatment of the Biden family compared to former President Donald Trump. Grassley pointed out that Trump faced federal charges for mishandling classified information after leaving office, while the FBI seemingly showed little interest in pursuing the Biden bribery allegations. Grassley emphasized that the Justice Department and FBI should be held accountable and urged them to reveal their investigative work.
It remains unclear whether the FBI currently possesses any of the purported audio tapes.
It should be noted that Senator Grassley, due to the constitutional protection granted to members of Congress, cannot be prosecuted for revealing sensitive information during a congressional speech or debate.
Grassley became aware of the informant file earlier this year through a whistleblower and promptly informed House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), who subsequently issued a subpoena to the FBI.
The bribery allegations against Joe Biden initially surfaced in 2017, but the FBI created the informant file in June 2020 after the tip received renewed attention.
According to several Republicans, the document alleges that the Bidens received a total of $10 million in 2015 and 2016 in exchange for Joe Biden advocating for the removal of Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin during his vice presidency.
Joe Biden himself has publicly acknowledged leveraging $1 billion in US loan guarantees to pressure Ukraine to dismiss Shokin. However, Democrats presented evidence during Trump’s 2020 impeachment trial suggesting that other US allies also sought Shokin’s removal due to his corruption.
Lawmakers have also stated that the document refers to Burisma’s attempts to form a partnership with an American company. Although the specific company is unknown, Burisma did acquire shares from a Canadian company, thereby establishing a joint venture with American company Cub Energy in 2016.
During the period from 2014 to 2019, Hunter Biden reportedly earned up to $1 million annually as a board member of Burisma, despite lacking relevant experience in the energy industry.
Joe Biden’s interactions in Ukraine have attracted attention, including his alleged promotion of US support for Ukraine’s natural gas industry shortly after Hunter joined Burisma in April 2014. Visitor logs from the Obama administration indicate that Joe Biden met with Devon Archer, Hunter’s business partner and fellow board member at Burisma, during the same month.
Furthermore, records, photos, and witness accounts from Hunter Biden’s laptop suggest that Joe Biden, during and after his vice presidency, engaged with associates linked to China, Mexico, Kazakhstan, and Russia through Hunter and his brother James Biden.

Grassley looks a lot like Thomas Nides.
