Great-Granddaughter of Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman Drowns in Bathtub

This evening, a fifteen-month old toddler drowned in the bathtub in her home on Rechov Eretz Chefetz in Maalot Dafna, Yerushalayim. The baby, who is a great-granddaughter of Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman, is in critical condition.

Magen David Adom personnel arrived at the scene and performed CPR on the toddler, who lost consciousness. The baby was then transported to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus in Yerushalayim.

The toddler was taken to the pediatric emergency room at the hospital. The hospital said that resuscitation efforts began by MDA was vital in saving the baby’s life.

All are asked to daven for a refuah sheleimah for Miriam Aidel bas Basya.

  1. Please change the title. The common definition of “drown” is dying by drowning. This girl is BH alive and needs our Tefillos!

    Drowned means died, R”L. You are causing a lot of agmas nefesh to your readers.

  3. This article is most misleading. ‘Drowned’ means that the person died. The article should have stated that the child “almost drowned.”
