It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Miriam Aidel Berlin a”h, a fifteen-month old toddler who drowned in a bathtub in her home on Rechov Eretz Chefetz in Maalot Dafna, Yerushalayim, two and a half weeks ago.

The baby was a great-granddaughter of Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman.

Miriam Aidel was in critical condition after the drowning incident and was taken to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus in Yerushalayim. For the past few weeks, doctors battled to save her life, but she succumbed this morning.

Miriam Aidel was a granddaughter of Rav Zev Berlin, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Gaon Yaakov in Bnei Brak and son-in-law of Rav Shteinman.

The levayah was held this morning at the Shamgar Funeral Home in Yerushalayim.

Umachah Hashem dimah mei’al kol ponim.
