It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of habochur Yochanan Ruby z”l. He was 24 years old.

Yochi, as he was known, sustained tremendous yissurim throughout his life, as he battled various medical challenges, yet he maintained his simchas hachaim throughout.

Yochi was a son of Rabbi and Mrs. Yechezkel Binyomin and Sima Masha Ruby.

The levayah will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the Stoliner Bais Medrash, located at 4609 16th Avenue in Boro Park, Brooklyn. The levayah will then continue at noon at the Stoliner Shul of Lakewood, located at 153 East 7th Street in Lakewood, NJ. Kevurah will follow at the Deans Floral Park Cemetery, in Stolin’s Nachalas Bais Aharon V’Yisroel chelkah.

Yehi zichro boruch.

3-4 years ago he saw a dream come true. He desperately wanted to perpetuate his life by having a sefer Torah written and he was זוכה to see it to fruition with a gala parade and הכנסת ספר התורה ceremony to celebrate. That sefer was gifted to his family shul in Lakewood where it it regularly used. He tried his hardest, although every breath was a difficult challenge, to always be besimcha. He will be missed by his dear parents who did everything humanly possible for him, his siblings and the masses whose lives he touched.
