menachem-stark-matzeivah1As the NYPD continues their investigation of the tragic murder of R’ Menachem Stark z”l of Williamsburg, the Stark family gathered yesterday at the cemetery in Kiryas Yoel, in Upstate New York, for the hakomas hamatzeivah at the kever.

The family concluded shivah on Friday for the 39-year-old father of 7.

The January 3rd murder has shaken the frum community to the core, a case made worse by the New York Post‘s shameful coverage of the tragedy and the ensuing slander of a family man known for his chesed and generosity.

The wording on R’ Menachem’s matzeivah makes mention of his selflessness and gemillus chesed, also noting the brutal manner in which his life came to an end.

May the Stark family merit a nechamah besoch she’ar avelei Tzion v’Yerushalayim.

  1. Aside for everyone saying “nebach, what a tragedy, & my heart goes out for this family”, which is of course the right way to feel; let us do one step more than that! Let us realize that the niftar is a kapparah for each and every one of us; & let’s remember to ask ourselves: “What does Hashem want from us now?” We have to remember that when Hashem sends us gezeiros raa’os we have to be mifashfesh b’maaseinu, & see where we need to improve to be better yidden! Every person knows what area of theirs needs improvement. Let us show Hashem that this time we got His message loud & clear, and we’re ready to do real Teshuva so Hashem can take us out of this galus already, and have an end to the terrible tzaros we’ve been through!

  2. #4, you call yourself a “Concerned Jew” and missed Hashem’s message? Listen to our great leaders. The (main) purpose was for all erliche yidden to cancel their subscriptions to the New York Post.
