Hamas threatened Israel today over plans by Jewish extremists to perform ritual sacrifices on the Har Habayis for Pesach.

The “Returning to the Mount” extremist group announced on Facebook that it would offer a cash prize to anyone who sacrificed a lamb on the Har Habayis as a Korban pesach or got arrested attempting to do so.

“Arrested? NIS 400. Arrested with a goat/lamb? NIS 800. Managed to sacrifice? NIS 10,000,” said the Facebook post from Returning to the Mount.

Hamas responded to the post, saying, “We stress that this represents a dangerous escalation that crosses all red lines, as it is a direct assault on the belief and feelings of our people and our nation during this holy month,” referring to the month of Ramadan. “We hold [Israel] responsible for all its repercussions,” the terror group warned.

Jewish people are legally allowed to visit the Har Habayis, but are not allowed to daven or perform religious rituals there. Of course, the leading gedolei haposkim of all generations have issued a p’sak forbidding going on to the Har Habayis in any case.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Ofir Gendelman, said there were no plans to bring sacrifices to the Har Habayis.

“Allegations that there are Jews intending to slaughter sacrifices on Haram al-Sharif (the Arabic name for the Har Habayis) are completely false and have been promoted by Palestinian terror organizations and others in order to incite,” Gendelman wrote on Twitter.

“We will preserve the status quo in the holy places and will not allow any disturbance to security and public order in Jerusalem or anywhere else,” he added.

  1. The holy of holies was 33 feet higher than the Ezra’s Nashim. This is the Height of the wall beneath the Kosel Plaza. Excavating the Robinson Arch to find the place of the altar would enable us to bring a korban. To build and repair the Temple, one is allowed to enter the place of the Mikdash. The base of the altar was 48 by 48 ft we should be able to find a vestige of it. The dome of the Rock is built where the four Lishkas were. Once we find the place of the altar they will be placed on the Temple mount for all nations it will be a House of prayer for all nations as prophesied by the prophets of Israel.

  2. The RIDVAZ TSHUVA #691WRITES; THE SOUTHERN WALL OF THE TEMPLE MOUNT WAS BUILT BY KING SOLOMON. THE AREA WAS CALLED MIDRASH S H L O M O.
WHEN WE MEASURE ALONG THE WESTERN WALL, THE HOLY OF HOLIES ENDS APPROXIMATELY 20 FT INTO THE ARCH. WHICH MEANS THE DOME OF THE ROCK IS NORTH OF THE HOLY OF HOLIES. HE ALSO MENTIONS THERE IS A TUNNEL UNDER THE DOME WHICH SUPPORTS THIS ASSUMPTION.
THE ORIGINAL EASTERN WALL OF THE TEMPLE WOULD HAVE BEEN THE SAME LEVEL AS THE WESTERN WALL. BASED ON THIS PREMISE WHEN YOU’RE STANDING IN THE KOSEL PLAZA YOU ARE FACING THE KODESH HAKODASHIM ON THE SAME LEVEL.
