On Sunday morning, former President Donald Trump expressed gratitude to “God alone” for saving him from an assassination attempt and emphasized the need for national unity.
A 20-year-old suspect was shot and killed by the Secret Service seconds after firing shots toward the stage where Trump was speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania. One rally attendee was killed, two others were critically injured, and Trump was grazed in the ear.
“Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness. Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed. In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win. I truly love our Country, and love you all, and look forward to speaking to our Great Nation this week from Wisconsin. [prayer emoji] DJT.”
As the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Trump last night thanked his Secret Service detail and offered condolences to the family of the person who was killed at the rally, as well as to the family of another individual who was badly injured.
“I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin,” Trump explained in a Truth Social post. “Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
Despite the attack, the Republican National Committee and Trump’s campaign announced that the national convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will proceed as planned this week. The former president is scheduled to be officially nominated on Thursday night.

Okay. Very good. I see he’s come around. You never hear God being praised in the democrat party, never. It doesn’t fit their narrative.
Absolutely!
It was only G-d’s hand!
Ivanka taught you well.
Trump said it “thank G-d “he is still with us !. In the 1st language its, Boruch Hashem Yom Yom mel waterman of spring valley ny
This is why Mr. Trump deserves our votes. In every single speech he makes he credits Hashem for his success. He says G-d bless. He wants the US to be a believing nation. Biden and his cronies, on the other hand, only say G-d as the prelude to four other letters, and do not believe He has a part in their lives or even in His existence.
Nice to hear him mention G-d, as usual.
Thank god
Trump should repent and retract his acceptance of toeivah, and removal of opposition to it from the GOP platform recently.
He personally does not like it. I don’t like it but you can not condemn every mentally ill person. Mental illness must be treated properly.
More likely it was the trigger finger of the perp.
